Vadivelu’s Tenaliraman in controversy

The producers of Vadivelu’s comeback film Tenaliraman, AGS Entertainment have come out with a statement against claims that the film would hurt the sentiments of Telugu people. Tenaliraman is an historical comedy film with Vadivelu playing a dual role and Meenakshi Dixit paired opposite him. Radha Ravi, Mano Bala, Mansoor Ali Khan, Santhana Barathy, GM Kumar, Bala Singh and many others in the supporting roles.

Tenaliraman produced by us is an imaginary story conceived on the basis of Tenaliraman moral stories etc. This film doesn’t reflect neither the life history ofTenaliraman nor that of any person with whom Tenaliraman is associated with/lived with,” the statement signed by AGS director R Rangarajan said.

It said further “The story of the film is an imaginary one reflecting the life style of people who lived in B.C 15 century in the backdrop of the present happenings and events.”

All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead are purely coincidental.
