Petaling Jaya, 30 Aug 2013, – Malindo Air, the Malaysian hybrid airline, has unveiled its new expansion plans with the announcement of launching daily services from Kuala Lumpur to Jakarta from 23 September 2013; and from Kuala Lumpur to Bali from 26 September 2013, marking its first routes to Indonesia. The all-inclusive fares will start from RM159 to Jakarta and RM199 to Bali.
Offering daily services, operated by a Boeing 737-900ER, the new flights will provide convenient connections for the growing number of passengers travelling on Malindo Air, further enhancing the airline’s capture of the local market.
The flights are the latest additions to Malindo Air’s long-term plan to convert Kuala Lumpur as the regional gateway, as the services, between Kuala Lumpur-Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur-Bali will allow convenient connectivity for passengers on the Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur service.
“Malindo Air’s new Jakarta and Bali services further reinforce Kuala Lumpur’s position as an important Asian gateway,” said Chandran Rama Muthy, Malindo Air’s Chief Executive Officer.
Kuala Lumpur’s strong business and cultural ties to Indonesia as well as its strategic geographic location make it a natural departing point for flights across the region.
“We expect good results from these new services as Jakarta and Bali are already well-known holiday destinations, and Malindo Air will be able to provide business and leisure travellers with convenient connectivity options,” added Chandran.
Bookings and fares will be available via www.malindoair.com; Malindo Air’s call center and travel agents.
