Vaanavil Drama Producing Project 2 is a project initiated by ASTRO to discover, encourage, support and give opportunity to the production houses in Malaysia and at the same time to discover new and fresh content which has got local essence to be produced as drama to broadcast in Vaanavil Channel. This project is another step for ASTRO Vaanavil to further its reach into the community whereby ASTRO will grant a fixed cost for the production of the dramas to the selected production houses.
Malaysia incorporated companies or business which principal activities involve the audio and visual production of media content in general can participate in this drama producing project. All employees of Astro Malaysia Holdings and their family members are not eligible to participate in this Project. For the avoidance of any doubt, in the event any owner or co-owner of the participating production house is an employee of Astro Malaysia Holdings or immediate family member, such application will be rejected.
This year, Astro will select Thirteen (13) scripts and production houses which script has been selected will have to produce into 5 episodes of 20-25 minutes each in Tamil Language. The Applicant will then be required to send the required documents to ASTRO no later than 19 December 2011.
A fixed grant of Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred Thousand (RM100,000.00) only for the production of the Drama (i.e. 5 episodes of 20–25 minutes each) shall be allocated by ASTRO for each of the selected or short listed Applicants. Click here for more info.
