SriThina Subramaniam in FACES OF LOVE

FACES OF LOVE: Sri Thina Subramaniam in a Bharatanatyam recital with live music conducted by international soloist Mavin Khoo

Sat 7th August 2010 @ 8.00 pm
Panggung Eksperimen ASWARA
464 Jalan Tun Ismail, Kuala Lumpur

Sri Thina began her exploration in the arts with Bharatanatyam at The Temple of Fine Arts. Very quickly, the nurturing environment here stimulated her desire for artistic expression; she took up the violin, studied Odissi and Kathak, and is just as adept at contemporary, folk and… Bollywood.

Her artistic nature finds expression in design, painting and drawing. Her gurus regard her as a dancer with superior gifts – beauty, physical elegance, creativity, dedication, imagination and passion, and most of all, a quiet allure on stage which enchants the audience.

Sri Thina graduated in Bharatanatyam under Shyamala Narayanan and in Odissi under Geetha Shankaran Lam. Her remarkable versatility and passion for dance bring about a rare smouldering energy that is a joy to behold. Her dance gurus recognise in her the special gift of mohana kalai or artistic enchantment. A gift that caught the eye of international Bharatanatyam exponent Mavin Khoo who found it both exciting and rewarding to present her in this exclusive recital of Faces of Love.

Sri Thina will explore the various aspects and faces of love with live music conducted by Mavin Khoo.
