A series of exciting programmes have been lined up as Astro Arena celebrates its first anniversary.
The main highlight is the Arena Awards Night scheduled next month — in recognition of the nation’s top athletes.
Astro Arena channel manager Venu Ramadass stressed the TV station has indisputably fulfilled the niche for local sports content.
“The channel complements Astro’s holistic sports brand, Stadium Astro, and its commitment to promote the development of local sports. We hope to encourage Malaysians to be more engaged and supportive towards the country’s local sports industry and talents,” said Venu.
“Our first year has been a great success. We have reaffirmed Arena’s standing as the best choice for local sports in the country.”
Among the new shows lined up include Granstand Ahad, a review of the latest happenings in the domestic scene, a documentary on sporting legends (Malaysia’s Sporting Legends) and highlights on Malaysian rugby (Ruck & Roll).
Astro Arena (Channel 801) is available to all Astro customers under the basic package.
