Los Angeles: AR Rahman could not repeat the magic this year at the annual Oscar Awards. He was nominated in the ‘Best Original Score’ and ‘Best original Song’ categories.
However, the Indian music maestro performed “If I Rise” with Florence Welch. Rahman was supposed to perform the song (from 127 hours) with Dido. Dido, reportedly could not make it as she is expecting a baby.
‘Best Original Score’ Oscar went to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for their soundtrack in ‘Inception‘. ‘Best original Song’ award went to Randy Newman for ‘We Belong Together‘.
