Anirudh pairs up Aadhi and Honey Singh for Ethirneechal Adi

Why This Kolaveri fame Anirudh Ravichander is set to try out new things once again as he pairs up Punjabi rapper, Yoyo Honey Singh and Tamil-based rapper, Aadhi for an upbeat trance song, Ethirneechal Adi, in Dhanush’s production Ethir Neechal which is starred by Sivakarthikeyan and Priya Anand.

Aadhi of Hip Hop Tamizhan needs no introduction in MyTamilChannel as his debut album received positive ratings from us. His album, Hip Hop Tamizha which was released on August 15, 2012, can be considered as a breakthrough for the independent music scene in South India and also the first of its kind hip hop album from a Tamil-based rapper. Although, Aadhi has been constantly refusing to do tracks for films, it will be interesting to see how this collaboration works as Anirudh have given the creative freedom for both Adhi and Yoyo Honey Singh to come out with their own rap verses for their portions.

As for Yoyo Honey Singh, the Punjab-based rapper hit to international fame with his music album, International Villager, which was released on November 11, 2011. Considered one of the most prominent acts in the Punjabi music scene, it has also been reported that Yoyo Honey Singh is the best paid music artist for a Bollywood song (as of 2012) of 70 lakh for a song in the film Mastaan. Interestingly, Yoyo Honey Singh will be headlining the Yoyo 2012 concert in Malaysia on the 22nd December 2012 at KL Live Centre.

It is indeed exciting to see how Anirudh fuses both Tamil and Punjabi rap in this track and not forgetting the chemistry between Aadhi and Honey Singh. Aniruh also hinted that Ethirneechal Adi might do better than Why This Kolaveri, also adding that the tracks in Ethir Neechal is likely to get the attention of youngsters.
