There are about 800 vacancies every year with the Government
as
'Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik' (PTD) under grade M41.

For information, this scheme is aimed to recruit senior government
officers to helm the leadership in all ministries and departments.

Entry qualification is basic degree with NO working experience needed.
Starting pay is around RM2500 plus all allowances.

You will be posted to any ministry or department across Malaysia.

The vetting process is quite strict. You will first attend an exam.
Once you have passed, you will be invited to a 3 days programme
conducted in INTAN, the government training centres. During this
programme, you will be evaluated on your interpersonal skills,
presentation skills etc. Once you have passed, the final stage is the
interview conducted in Putrajaya.

Those who have passed the interview will be appointed. Immediately you
will attend induction programme for 2 weeks in INTAN. During which,
you will be presented with your appointment letter and be posted to
various ministries and departments.

You starting post will be Penolong Pengarah if posted to a department
and Penolong Setiausaha if posted to a ministry. This is a very senior
post.

Annually there will be 2 intakes. At every time, there will be about
20,000 people applying and only about 500 will be selected finally.
Out of this, there will be about 60 Indians.

The issue is, not many Indians apply for this position, thinking that
they might not get it. But, you will never know if you do not try.
There are many people, including Malays who have applied for more than
5 times and never got in. And there are also some, including Indians
who have applied only once and got in.
