“I’m on diet!”, most common phrase utter by women of all ages. When we asked several people of their opinion, this is what we found out;

“Taking meals that will help to reduce weight” – 19 years old student.
“A balanced and healthy meal” – 21 years old student teacher.
“Eating less food to lose weight” – 24 years old university student.
“Food that we eat are called diet” – 36 years old executive.
“A balanced meal taken on time” – 54 years old retiree.

Eating a balanced meal on time is the first step for healthy weight management. Ladies, take note: balanced diet is not exclusive for overweight people;it also fits for those who want to maintain an ideal weight.

Depriving your body of food will cause your systems to go haywire. It will not ensure a smooth and healthy lifestyle. Hence, no matter how busy or where you are, remember to take your meals on a consistent time in a suitable amount.

Design your meals using a food pyramid as a guide. It will give you an idea of the right amount of carbohydrates, protein, fat, fibre, vitamins and minerals to add to your diet.
